“The Gathering House” is a modern, newly built double-storey family- and pet-friendly home in Cowes, just a short walk from Cowes Beach and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants, and cafés of Cowes. With spacious living areas and fantastic entertainment spaces, this impressive home is perfect for families and groups looking to relax and enjoy a memorable Phillip Island getaway. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The impressive foyer provides a welcoming entrance to this modern, newly built home, with a stylish staircase leading to the upper level. The ground floor features spacious Living areas, including the front Living area with a sofa bed. The large central Living area (with a 75" Smart TV with full surround sound and a foosball table), featuring a striking coffered ceiling, 2 queen sofa beds and distinctive pillars adding architectural character to the space, provides another comfortable and inviting space to relax and enjoy. The rear open-plan Kitchen/Dining/Living area (with an 85" Smart TV and premium surround sound system) provides a spacious and versatile space where guests can gather, dine and unwind together. The kitchen also features LED lighting under the benches, adding a stylish touch to the space. All three Smart TVs are hardwired to the modem, providing a reliable connection with no lag while watching content. A separate powder room and fully equipped laundry are conveniently located on this level near the garage, with a washing machine and separate clothes dryer.
Upstairs, the Living area creates a comfortable and inviting retreat for relaxing and enjoying downtime, featuring a 75" Smart TV and sound system. The four Bedrooms are positioned around the central hallway alongside the bathroom facilities. Bedroom 1 features a WIR and a spacious Ensuite (with freestanding bath, shower & toilet). Bedrooms 2 & 3 each feature a WIR and their own Ensuite (with shower & toilet), while Bedroom 4 has a WIR. The fourth bathroom is located directly across from Bedroom 4 (with a bath and shower), while the toilet is located separately next to it.
Outdoor Areas
The spacious partially covered outdoor living area (with BBQ and outdoor entertaining space), directly adjoining the open-plan living and dining spaces, provides a fantastic setting for alfresco dining and entertaining, overlooking the backyard lawn and paved firepit area. The generous outdoor area offers plenty of room for guests to relax, enjoy the fresh air, and make the most of the outdoor setting. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor firepit; firewood is not provided; however, guests can purchase some at the local service station if required.
The enclosed rear yard is also suitable for children and pets (small dogs only). There is also a double Garage with parking for 3 cars, including the garage and driveway, with street parking also available.
Please note: The home has external security cameras located at the front of the house, side of the house and backyard.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen features a spacious butler’s pantry providing ample additional storage and a large fridge/freezer with filtered water and an ice maker. It is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, air fryer, etc. plus a dishwasher, gas oven and 5-burner gas cooktop.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home has zoned ducted heating and cooling throughout, with ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living areas for added comfort.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds and 3 sofa beds, accommodating up to 14 guests:
Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One Queen bed
Bedroom 4: One Queen bed
There is one Queen sofa bed in Living Room 1 and two Queen sofa beds in Living Room 2, with each sofa bed suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
