“The Bach at Ventnor” is a comfortable single-storey family home in Ventnor, just a comfortable walk from the pet-friendly beach and a short drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The light-filled open plan Kitchen/Dining/Family area (with seating for 6 people) flows directly out to the Deck, creating an easy indoor-outdoor living space. A separate Living room (with XXX TV, a selection of books & board games, and a Coonara wood heater) leads directly out to the undercover Front Porch. A central hallway provides access to Bedroom 1 (with BIR), Bedroom 2 (with BIR), and Bedroom 3. The Bathroom (with bath, shower and toilet) services the bedrooms, while the Laundry (with washing machine), and a separate toilet are conveniently tucked away with internal access.
Outdoor Areas
The cozy shaded Deck (with hanging egg chair) opens from the main living areas, the Backyard (with seating for 6 people) has a large lawn shaded by mature trees, and a hammock for relaxing. The space also includes an undercover Porch & Carport (with parking for XXX cars and or a boat). Storage space (?)
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, and includes a microwave, [coffee machine] , toaster, and kettle, along with a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, [electric/gas] oven and [electric/gas cooktop].
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall-mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the home; one in each of the Living room and Bedroom 1. The home also includes two stand-alone heaters and fans, which can be used where required, plus a cosy Coonara wood heater [some wood provided].
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds, accommodating up to 6 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Double bed
Bedroom 3: Two Single Beds
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
