“Surfers Rest” is a delightful double-storey family [and pet-friendly XX] home in Surf Beach, just a short walk from the Beach and a comfortable drive from all the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes and Cape Woolamai. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

The large semi-covered wrap-around Balcony (with gas BBQ, roll-out umbrella & seating for 7 people) has lovely water views of Ventnor Beach just metres away and overlooks the fully enclosed yard (with hot/cold water shower) which is perfect for children and pets alike. There is a double Carport with parking for 2 cars, and space for an additional 2 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the driveway and covered area adjacent to the carport.
Please note: The home has external security cameras that do not face any internal private areas.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, [XXX] coffee [pod] machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, [electric/gas] oven and [electric/induction/gas] cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the upstairs Kitchen/Dining/Living room, ceiling fans in Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3, wall mounted electric heating in all bedrooms, plus [XX] additional stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required. The home has a Coonara-style wood heater (some wood provided to get you started).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 10 beds, and 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 14 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Double bed
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): Two sets of Single bunks, One Single bed, Two Single Trundle beds and One Single Sofa bed
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
