“Sunset Escape” is a delightful double-storey family home in Sunset Strip just a 10 minute walk from Smiths Beach and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes and San Remo. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
A hallway leads from the front door, providing access to Bedroom 3 (with BIR) and the fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) and the stairs. Also downstairs is the large Rumpus Room (with smart TV, DVD Player & some movies) leading to Bedroom 4 (with BIR) and a Bathroom (with shower & toilet). Upstairs is the huge open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with smart TV), Bedrooms 1 and 2 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with bath & shower).
Outdoor Areas
The huge wrap-around first floor Deck (with gas BBQ & seating for 10 people) can be accessed from the Living Room and Bedroom 2 and provides a fantastic outdoor space overlooking the enclosed rear yard (with outdoor hot & cold shower) that is ideal for children and pets. The large carport (under the first floor Deck) provides space for up to 2 cars, with additional space on the driveway for another vehicle (car and/or a boat).
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the upstairs Living Room and also in the downstairs Rumpus Room, ceiling fans in bedrooms 1 & 2, plus one additional stand-alone fan which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): Two King Single beds
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): Two Single beds
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
