“Spa Retreat on Possum” is a spacious, modern double-storey home nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac within the peaceful Seagrove Estate in Cowes. Family-friendly, pet-friendly, and built for groups of up to 14 guests, it offers the perfect setting for memorable getaways, just a short stroll from Cowes Beach and a short drive to the town's supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants.
Picture this: the kids are running free in the safe, enclosed backyard, the spa is bubbling away; sausages and onions are sizzling on the BBQ, and you're relaxing with a glass of wine while enjoying a glimpse of the ocean on the horizon. Designed for year-round comfort with heating and cooling throughout, “Spa Retreat on Possum” is the kind of place where holidays become the stories you retell for years. Indoor Areas
Upstairs, the spacious open-plan Kitchen/Dining/Living area (with an 85" smart TV and a selection of board games/books/magazines) flows seamlessly onto the expansive partially covered Balcony to create the perfect indoor and outdoor entertaining space for families and groups. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, including the outdoor entertaining areas, allowing guests to stay connected wherever they choose to relax. Also on this level is Bedroom 1, featuring a WIR, BIR, private Ensuite (with shower & Toilet), and direct access to a private front Balcony, along with a convenient Powder Room (with Toilet).
Internal stairs lead down to the ground floor, where guests will find a second spacious Living/Rumpus area (with a 75" Smart TV and a selection of board games/books/magazines), making it an ideal retreat for children or additional guests. A central Hallway provides access to Bedrooms 2, 3, and 4 (each with a BIR), the main Bathroom (with a freestanding bath & shower), a separate Toilet, and the fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer). Internal access leads to the Garage, which has been converted into a Games Room (with a pool table, table tennis table, darts, a comfortable lounge area, and an additional 75" Smart TV), providing yet another fantastic space for guests to relax and unwind.
Outdoor Areas
Nestled within the peaceful Seagrove Estate, the home offers multiple indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces, making it easy for families and larger groups to spread out or come together while enjoying everything the property has to offer. Guests can enjoy multiple entertaining areas designed for relaxing and spending quality time together, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing or beach adventures.
The large upstairs Balcony features outdoor dining, comfortable lounge seating and a gas BBQ while also offering partial ocean views and overlooking the fully enclosed rear yard, creating a seamless indoor/outdoor flow ideal for families and groups.
The fully enclosed rear yard is the heart of this home and is genuinely huge, offering plenty of room for backyard cricket, footy, chasey, or simply letting the little ones run free while you relax nearby. Younger guests will love the dedicated playground area with fall-safe mulch, providing added peace of mind while they enjoy the cubby house with swings and slide, along with the safe-play trampoline for hours of outdoor entertainment. The secure gardens also make this an ideal space for children and pets alike.
Downstairs, the second Living/Rumpus area flows out to a spacious fully covered Alfresco entertaining area with a luxurious 8-seater electric spa, providing the perfect place to soak and relax with family and friends.
Guests can also make the most of the purpose-built outdoor fire pit area, which seats up to 14 people and provides the perfect gathering spot once the sun goes down. Toast marshmallows, swap stories, and enjoy quality time together with family and friends, (with some firewood supplied to help get you started).
Garage parking is not available, as the garage has been converted into a Games Room. Parking is available in the driveway in front of the garage, with space for up to 2 vehicles (cars and/or a boat), plus another car space to the side of the garage, with additional street parking also available.
Kitchen
The modern island kitchen overlooks the Dining area, which comfortably seats up to 14 guests, and is fully equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, a kettle, and everything needed to prepare meals with ease, plus a double sink, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric oven, and induction cooktop.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home is equipped with 7 wall-mounted reverse-cycle split systems, located in the upstairs Living area, downstairs Living/Rumpus area, Games Room, and each of the 4 Bedrooms, ensuring comfortable year-round accommodation. Ceiling fans are also provided in all 4 Bedrooms.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 8 beds and 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 14 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Tri-Bunk and One set of Single bunks
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Tri-Bunk
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.
There is also one Double Sofa bed in the living room that is suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels, and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed, and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
