About the home

“Shiloh Beach House” is a delightful double-storey family home in Kilcunda located at the back of a quiet closed court, metres to the pub, general store and the famous but secluded Shelley beach where families spend hours exploring rock pools, caves and picnicking on the white sand. Other attractions nearby include the Bourne Creek Trestle Bridge, township of Wonthaggi only a 5 minute drive where you have access to great shopping, Maru Koala park and the great penguins of Phillip island.

Plenty of activities for the young and not so young, and with a wood fire in the lounge, heated deck at the back and a large lit swim spa this accomodation will not disappoint regardless of the season or weather. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is the large open plan Kitchen & entry hall that provides access to the Garage, the fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), and leads through to the Lounge (with 70" smart TV, fireplace, Playstation 5, a selection of games & DVD's & Bluetooth speakers) and the Dining Room. Bedrooms 3 (with 40" smart TV & BIR) and Bedroom 4 (with BIR) are down a hallway off the Dining Room, as is the main Bathroom (with spa bath & shower) and a separate toilet. Double doors (and a dog door) in the Entry lead to the covered Verandah.

Upstairs is Bedroom 2 (with a private patio) as well as Bedroom 1 which has a 40" smart TV, WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet).

Outdoor Areas

The covered Verandah at the rear of the home features the incredible electric heated 6-seater swim spa plus swim zone (4.3m x 2.3m, 1.3m deep). Also on the Verandah is seating and a table for 9 people, an umbrella (for the spa), a gas BBQ and a wall-mounted electric heater. There is also a large Alfresco area off the Dining Room and a Patio on the front of the home. There is space to park one car in the left side of the double Garage, which also features a fuzbol table and some boogie boards. Additional parking for up to 2 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) is available on the driveway. Pets are welcome at the home but guests should be aware the block is not fenced nor fully secure. There is a cubby house that is perfect for children in the back yard.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, double door fridge, dishwasher, 900mm gas oven and 5-burner gas cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioner in the Lounge room and one in Bedroom 1, a ceiling fan in the Lounge, and three portable stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required. There is some firewood provided to get you started for the fireplace in the Lounge.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 11 beds, accommodating up to 14 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): Two sets of Single bunks
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Tri-bunk, one set of Single bunks and one Single Trundle bed

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
