About the home

“Findlay on the Bay” is a brilliantly located townhouse in central Cowes, only 100m to the Cowes foreshore including the beach, play equipment and lively seasonal markets, and 250m to the main strip of Cowes with its supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs comprises the open plan kitchen / dining / living area (with TV and DVD player) opening onto a delightful patio. There is a combined bathroom/ fully equipped laundry (with shower and toilet). The garage is not available for use.

Upstairs you can find all three bedrooms (the main with TV and balcony) and another bathroom (with shower over spa bath plus toilet).

Outdoor Areas

Outdoor living has been catered for as well, with a screened, private courtyard (with BBQ and outdoor setting for 6), plus a large, fully fenced communal lawn ideal for the kids to play in. The balcony off the master bedrooms is undercover with an outdoor setting for two. There is off street parking for two vehicles in the driveway.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, an Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

A reverse cycle split system unit is located in the living area. There are also ceiling fans in the living area and in two bedrooms; a standalone fan is in the remaining bedroom.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:

Bedroom 1 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (upstairs): One Double bed
Bedroom 3 (upstairs): One set of Single bunks, one single bed and one Single Trundle bed

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
