About the home

"Encanto" (Enchanted in Spanish), is a single level, 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom home in central Cowes providing the perfect setting if you want to park your car and walk around town. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The home is split into three parts - the main home, a self-contained 'unit' accessible from the deck of the main home, and a bungalow attached to the garage.

Entrance to the main home is via the sliding door on the deck next to the driveway. It contains a Master bedroom with WIR and en-suite (with shower and toilet), bedroom 2 and 4 which share the main bathroom (with shower and toilet) and bedroom 3 which has a smart TV and an en-suite (with shower and toilet) and a rear laundry. The main kitchen / dining area is in the centre of the home, with a living/lounge area at the front of the home with coonara fireplace (no wood supplied, huge smart TV and a sound bar.

The self-contained unit is accessible via the covered alfresco at the rear of the main home and has bedroom 5, an en-suite (with shower and toilet) and its own living room (with smart TV) a kitchenette (with a fridge). The bungalow is attached to the side of the garage and contains the huge bedroom 6 (with smart TV), fridge and an en-suite (with shower and toilet).

Outdoor Areas

The huge garden provides a great place for kids to play and the covered side deck (accessed off the central kitchen/dining area) is perfect for entertaining. The large tandem double garage functions as a games room including a table tennis table with the long driveway providing parking for up to 6 cars and/or boats.

Kitchen

The fully appointed main kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, pantry, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and 5-burner gas cook top.

The unit has a kitchenette with bar fridge, sink, microwave, kettle, grill and electric hot plates as well a small supply of cutlery, crockery etc. The bungalow also has a kitchenette with a bar fridge, sink, kettle, grill, and a small supply of cutlery, crockery etc.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home has 7 wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners. There is one in each bedroom in the main house, plus one in the front living/lounge, one in the living room attached to bedroom 5 which also heats and cools that bedroom, and one in bedroom 6 (the bungalow). There is a coonara style wood heater in the main living room (no wood supplied - available from the service station just 30m away).

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
