“Church Street Retreat” is a family friendly single-storey home in Cowes, perfectly positioned in a central location just a short walk from Cowes Beach and the shops, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets. Set on a desirable corner block, this comfortable home offers easy access to the Cowes foreshore and everything you need for a relaxing Phillip Island getaway. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The open plan Kitchen/Dining/Family Room (with 50" Smart TV) flows out to the covered rear deck through large sliding doors, creating an inviting indoor/outdoor feel. The Family Room features comfortable seating and a gas fireplace (not for guest use). A central Hallway leads to Bedroom 1 & 2 (each with BIR), and the main Bathroom (with shower over bath & toilet). Bedroom 3 is at the end of the hallway (with free-standing robes) and provides access to Bedroom 4, which features freestanding robes and an Ensuite (with shower & Toilet). The fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) is also conveniently located with access to both the Kitchen and the main Bathroom.
Outdoor Areas
The spacious covered Deck is located directly off the Living room (featuring a gas BBQ & 8-seater dining table) and overlooks the large, fully enclosed yard, with plenty of lawn space for children and pets to enjoy. A standout feature of the outdoor area is the private, covered 6-seater spa, which is gas heated and access directly from the Deck, providing the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day exploring Phillip Island. The covered Deck is also ideal for outdoor entertaining. There is a front driveway providing parking for up to 3 vehicles, with additional on-street parking if required.
Kitchen
The fully appointed Kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and gas 5-burner cooktop.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall-mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the Living Room which also heats & cools the adjoining Dining Room & Kitchen, along with 4 mobile heaters and 4 mobile fans, which can be used wherever required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 7 beds and 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 12 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One Double bed
Bedroom 4: Two sets of Single bunks
There is also a Queen sofa bed in the Living Room, suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
