Located right on the beachfront Esplanade, enjoy the picturesque water views of Corner Inlet, Wilsons Promontory National Park and the historical Long Jetty all from the comfort of home, or take a stroll / ride along the sealed foreshore walking/bike track and soak in the idyllic waterfront scenery. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
A hallway provides access to Bedroom 1 & 2 (each with BIR and water views), Bedroom 3, a Bathroom (with bath & shower) and a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) that also has a separate Toilet. The open plan Kitchen/Dining Room flows through to the central Living Room (with smart TV) that has delightful water views.
Outdoor Areas
The covered rear Deck (with gas BBQ) overlooks the large fully enclosed rear yard. There is a rear shed (with table & chairs for 8 people). The whole block is enclosed, which is perfect for children and pets alike (pets to remain outside), and features a trampoline and firepit (no wood provided). A short 120m walk from the home, and right on the beachfront, is the Lewis Street playground & recreation area, with undercover electric BBQ & seating, skate park, swings, slides and play equipment.
Local Area
This home is positioned centrally on the Esplanade and is within easy walking / riding distance to any of the town’s main attractions. A family friendly, sandy swimming beach is accessible directly across the road. A short walk along the sealed foreshore path will see you at the start of the historical Long Jetty (850m long), boasting excellent fishing straight from the Chanel. Just up the road (3-4 minute walk) is the newly refurbished Port Welshpool Pub ‘The Rusty Gurnard’, Port Welshpool fish and chip shop & General Store and main wharf Old Ferry Terminal, which berths the commercial boat fleet. It is under 250m to the new Playground and recently upgraded, fully sealed, 3 lane boat ramp & carpark (including boat wash down areas and fish cleaning tables).
Explore the Great Southern Rail Trail, 300m to the most Southerly starting point at the Port Welshpool Old Ferry Terminal car park, which then makes its way into the town of Welshpool. The total trail, accessible on foot / bike runs for 146kms from Yarram to Nyora, including 2 separate detours to Port Welshpool and Port Albert and the newly opened 2024 section from Welshpool to Alberton. Just a 15 minute drive to the scenic Agnes Falls picnic area, or 60 minute drive to Turra Bulga National Park and Tidal River in Wilsons Prom.
Boats and fishing trawlers scatter the seascape of this historic fishing and cargo port. The Commercial fishing fleet provides local seafood to markets in Melbourne and abroad and will be supplying fresh seafood to the recently opened Port Welshpool Pub. The town is a hive of boating activity, well renowned for its exceptional year-round recreational fishing and boating activities, with Port Welshpool being the closest port to access and explore the pristine, remote and scenic rugged coast line of Wilsons Promontory National park and surrounding islands.

Bedding Configuration
This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:
Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: Two sets of Single bunks
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
