“Blue Dreaming” is an inviting double-storey family home in Smiths Beach, evoking the beauty of the blue ocean, coastal skies and the feeling of escaping everyday life for a relaxing coastal getaway. Just a short walk from the Beach and Smiths Beach General Store, and a comfortable drive from the supermarkets, restaurants and cafés of Cowes and San Remo, this lovely home offers the perfect setting for a relaxing coastal escape. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs, the Entry opens into a central hallway leading to Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 (each with BIR), along with a Study (with a desk and chair ideal for working from home) and a comfortable Living Room (with a double sofa and XXX Smart TV), which provides access to the covered Verandah, offering a lovely spot to enjoy some fresh air and relax. The Communal Bathroom (with a freestanding bath and shower), a separate Toilet, and the Laundry (with a washing machine and clothes dryer) are also located on this level, with the Laundry situated at the rear of the home, next to Bedroom 4. The Double Garage is also located on this level but is not available for guest use.
Upstairs, accessed via a staircase, features a spacious open-plan Living/Dining/Family area, including a Reading Nook (with two armchairs and a coffee table) and a Family Room (with XXX Smart TV), flowing through to the Kitchen, which includes a WIP and access to two covered Balconies. Bedroom 1 features a WIR and an Ensuite (with a double basin, shower and toilet). A separate Toilet is also located next to the Kitchen on this level.
Outdoor Areas
The home features two covered Balconies extending from the upstairs level, creating an ideal indoor/outdoor living space with lovely elevated coastal views of the beach and surrounding trees. The rear Balcony offers lounge seating for five, two coffee tables, an electric BBQ and a six-seater dining table, while the front Balcony provides two lounge chairs and a coffee table.
Downstairs, the covered Verandah is accessible from the Living Room, providing an additional outdoor area. The property also features an enclosed rear yard, providing an outdoor space for children to enjoy. An outdoor shower with hot and cold water is conveniently located to the left-hand side, past the garage. Parking is available for two vehicles, with one space in the driveway and one on the side of the driveway. Small boats only are permitted.
Please note: The home has external security cameras located at the front door and back door.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc., plus a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and electric induction cooktop. A Butlers Pantry is also available for additional storage.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home features ducted heating and cooling throughout, providing year-round comfort across the living areas and all four bedrooms.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds and 2 additional sofa beds, accommodating up to 12 guests:
Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One Queen bed
Bedroom 4: One Queen bed
There are also two sofa beds, one in the downstairs Study and one in the downstairs Living Room, each suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
