About the home

“Beach House Silverleaves” is a delightful single-storey family and pet-friendly home in Silverleaves, just a comfortable walk from the Beach and Silverleaves General Store and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Entry to the home is via the Verandah into a central Entry Hall, which leads to the rear Living room (with 66" Smart TV, books, and a selection of card and board games) and flows through to the airy open-plan Kitchen/Dining area (with seating for 8 people). This space opens onto a large north-facing Deck overlooking the fully fenced rear garden. A central hallway off the Entry provides access to Bedroom 1 which features a WIR and Ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR), the main Bathroom (with bath & shower), and a separate Toilet. The fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine, clothes dryer & indoor drying rack) flows through from the Kitchen and also has external access.

Outdoor Areas

The spacious north-facing Deck is well lit and features a modern gas BBQ (with outdoor seating for up to 10 people and a retractable sun shade) and leads directly onto a fully fenced backyard with a lawned area, making it perfect for children and pets. There is an outdoor hot & cold water shower, along with drying lines for laundry, wetsuits, and beach gear.

A pedestrian gate provides easy access to the beach (just a one-minute walk), and on return, the outdoor shower and hose are ideal for a quick rinse-off. The undercover verandah (with 4 outside chairs with cushions) is the perfect spot to relax, take in stunning sunset views, and savor the laid-back coastal vibe. There is space to park up to two cars in the driveway, with plenty of additional parking available on the verges.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, a microwave, Nespresso coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, and more, plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven, and induction cooktop (please use the specific induction cookware kept in the cupboard for cooking).

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are two wall-mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the lounge area and Bedroom 1, ceiling fans in all bedrooms, plus a large ceiling fan in the lounge, wall-mounted heaters in all bedrooms, and fly screens on all windows and the main and deck doors. The home also has a Coonara-style wood heater in the lounge area (no wood provided; however, guests can purchase some at the local service station if required).

Bedding Configuration

This home has 5 beds, accommodating up to 6 guests:
Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: Two Long Single beds (which can be converted into a King bed)
Bedroom 3: One set of King Single bunks

Please note that if you want the Long Single beds to be converted into a King bed prior to your arrival, we need at least one week's notice before checking in.
Long single mattress dimensions are approximately 91 cm x 203 cm, and converted king bed dimensions are approximately 180 cm x 203 cm.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
