“Rest on Park” is a charming double-storey family [and pet-friendly XX] home in Cowes, just a short walk from Cowes Beach and the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. A comfortable base for enjoying a relaxing Phillip Island getaway. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs, the bright and spacious open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with XXX) provides a comfortable space for guests to relax and come together. Large glass sliding doors provide easy access to the outdoor area, creating a lovely indoor/outdoor flow and allowing plenty of natural light into the Living Room. Also on this level is the fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), Powder Room, and internal access to the double Garage.
Upstairs, accessed via the internal staircase, a central Lounge (with XXX) provides an additional space to relax, with three Bedrooms located on this level. Bedroom 1 features a Walk-In Robe and Ensuite (with shower & toilet), while Bedrooms 2 & 3 each feature BIR. The main Bathroom (with bath & shower), separate Toilet and Balcony are also located on this level.
Outdoor Areas
The private upper-level Balcony (with XXX) provides a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the fresh air, overlooking the fully fenced yard, which features a spacious lawn and established gardens, providing a pleasant outdoor area for guests to enjoy. A bench is also provided in the outdoor area, offering a convenient spot to sit and enjoy the garden. There is also a double Garage and space for an additional 2 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the driveway.
Please note: The home has external security cameras that do not face any internal private areas.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, [XXX] coffee [pod] machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a single sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and [electric/induction/gas] cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the upstairs Kitchen/Dining/Living room, ceiling fans in Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3, wall mounted electric heating in all bedrooms, plus [XX] additional stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required. The home has a Coonara-style wood heater (some wood provided to get you started).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds, accommodating up to 6 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One King Single and one King Single trundle bed
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
