About the home
“Seaview Escape” has two dwellings on the one property (guests have exclusive use of both) - "Seaview" and "Seahaven". Both dwellings are double storey, with "Seaview" on absolute waterfront, and "Seahaven" on the street side of the block. The property is a short drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Seaview:
Downstairs is a central entryway leading providing access to Bedroom 1, with delightful beach views, which features WIR plus an ensuite (with shower, bath & toilet), Bedroom 2 with a wall mounted 40" smart TV and & BIR, Bedroom 3 (with BIR), a Bathroom (with shower & toilet) and a fully equipped European Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer). Upstairs is the huge open plan Kitchen (with WIP)/Living Room (with 65" smart TV, Coonara-style wood heater & a selection of card & board games) featuring stunning water views flowing through to the front Balcony, as well as a Dining Room (with its own water views) and another separate Toilet.
Seahaven
The downstairs large LIving/Dining Room (with 65" smart TV) also features a second kitchenette (with bar fridge, electric oven & stove) and opens on the central ground floor Verandah. Bedroom 4 (with BIR) is accessed from the Verandah and also features a dual access ensuite (with shower & toilet). Bedroom 5 (with stand alone robes and its own small Balcony) is accessed through Bedroom 4.
Outdoor Areas
Seaview:
The large fully covered Balcony (with gas BBQ, electric ceiling heater & table seating for 6 people plus an outdoor sofa) has incredible water views of Ventnor Beach just metres away, and overlooks the enclosed front yard with its incredible electric-heated 8-seater spa (enjoying its own stunnng water views) and an outdoor shower.
Seahaven:
The large Verandah (with small table & seating for 2 people) overlooks the central Courtyard between the two homes and the gorgeous oasis-style gardens, featuring a full sized Pickleball court with a basketball ring as well. The Single Garage on the street side of Seahaven has a table tennis table (& power point for EV charging), providing yet another space for guests to relax and enjoy themselves. There is a single Carport and space for an additional 3 cars in the driveway, with additional parking available on the street.
Please note: The home has external security cameras facing the front & rear gates, but not any internal private areas.
Kitchens
The home has a full Kitchen in the Seaview dwelling, and a Kitchenette in the Seahaven dwelling.
Seaview has a fully appointed kitchen equipped with Butlers Pantry, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, sandwich press, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top. Seahaven has a Kitchenette features a bar fridge, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are four wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners between the two dwellings; one in Seaview upstairs Living room, one in Seahaven Living Room, and one in each of Bedroom 1 (Seaview) and Bedroom 5 (Seahaven), a ceiling fan in Seaview Living Room, two ceiling fans in the Seahaven Living Room, and one in each of Bedrooms 1, 2, 3 and 4. There is also a ceiling mounted electric heater in Seaview Balcony, plus 3 additional stand-alone heaters which can be used where required, plus a Coonara-style wood heater in Seaview Living Room (no wood provided).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 9 beds, accommodating up to 13 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Seaview): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Seaview): One Queen
Bedroom 3 (Seaview): Two Single beds and One Trunk bed
Bedroom 4 (Seahaven): One Queen bed
Bedroom 5 (Seahaven): One Queen bed, 1 x set of Single Bunks
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
