About the home

“Surf Beach Holiday House” is a delightful double-storey family home (split over 3 levels) in Surf Beach just a short walk from the beach and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes or Cape Woolamai. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs you will find Bedroom 1 (with a TV) and a separate bathroom (with shower & toilet) which are accessed from the Family Room. Up 8 steps is the mazzanine level which comprises Bedrooms 2, 3 & 4 (all with TV's & BIR), another bathroom (with shower over a bath & a toilet) as well as a fully equipped laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer). Up another 7 steps to the top floor is the huge open plan Living/Dining/Kitchen (with Coonara wood heater & smart TV) which provides access to the large wrap-around balcony.

Outdoor Areas

Accessed from the main Living room through sliding doors is the upstairs balcony (with gas BBQ, 8-seat outdoor table, 4 outdoor barstools and a 3-seater outdoor couch with coffee table) providing impressive water views to Swan Bay and beyond. The rear yard has a firepit (wood stored under the house) plus a hot & cold water outdoor shower while the front yard has a trampoline - perfect for the kids. The garage is not for guest use, but the double carport and driveway provide parking for up to 4 cars and/or a boat).

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, Aldi pod coffee machine, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioner in the upstairs Living/Kitchen/Dining room, ceiling fans in all Bedrooms, a Coonara wood heater in the upstairs Living Room, electric blankets on all beds (except the mattress in Bedroom 2 or the Double Futon), plus three additional stand-alone heaters (stored in Bedroom 4) which can be used where required.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 5 beds, plus 1 futon & 1 mattress, accommodating up to 10 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Mezzanine): One set of Single bunks and one Single bed mattress
Bedroom 3 (Mezzanine): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (Mezzanine): One Double bed

There is also a Double Futon in the downstairs Family Room suitable for 2 adults or children.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
