About the home

“Surf Beach Escape” is a lovely family friendly home just 200 metres from Surf Beach and a lovely walk to Sunderland Bay. Just a short drive or bike ride to the Woolamai Tavern and local shopping precinct. Some of the many features of this lovely family home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The open plan living/dining/kitchen (with smart TV) is a lovely place to sit and relax, especially in front of the Coonara wood fire. Down the central hallway leads to the laundry (with a combined Washing/Dryer machine), a separate toilet off the Laundry, the main bathroom (with shower over bath), bedrooms 1 and 2 (both with BIR) and bedroom 3. Bedroom 2 also doubles as a childrens retreat.

Outdoor Areas

At the front of the home, the lovely north facing veranda stretches from one end of the home to the other. The large rear deck is partially covered hosting a gorgeous teak dining suite and BBQ. In the large fully fenced back yard with grass, there is a fire pit plus a huge fantastic games room with table tennis table, smart TV and plenty of space to relax. There is space for two vehicles (cars and/or a boat) to be parked in front of the garage and/or the home (please note the garage is not accessible to guests).

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, Delonghi Nespresso coffee machine, etc., large fridge, and electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioner in the living room, plus a wood fire coonara. There are ceiling fans in Bedroom 1 and 3 and one stand alone heater to be used where required.

Please note, some firewood may be provided to get you started; when this is exhausted, guests are to purchase themselves.

Bedroom Configuration:

This home has 5 beds, accommodating up to 7 guests:

Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: One set of King Single bunks and One King Single trundle bed
Bedroom 3: One Queen bed

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
