About the home

“Such is Life” is a delightful double-storey family home in Cowes just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs, the central hallway provides access to the Study, a Lounge (with TV & chromecast), a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), a separate Toilet and through to the large rear open plan Kitchen (with WIP) Dining/Living Room (with TV, chromecast & Wii) that flows through to the rear covered Alfresco. Upstairs is the Family Room (with TV), Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with bath & shower), a separate Toilet and Bedroom 1 which features a WIR and ensuite (with shower & separate toilet).

Outdoor Areas

The rear covered Alfresco (with gas patio heater, gas BBQ and 8-seater table) overlooks the fully enclosed rear yard - perfect for children and pets alike. There is also a lockable doggy door in the Living Room providing access to the rear yard. The double Garage (with 600L fridge & dart board) has space for one car, with space for two additional cars in the driveway.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and 4-burner gas cook top with wok burner.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a gas ducted heating system throughout the home, a ducted evaporative cooling system upstairs, and a wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioner in the main Living Room.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 7 beds, and 1 futon, accommodating up to 12 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Double bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Double bed
Bedroom 4 (Upstairs): One set of Single bunks, one Single bed and one Single Trundle bed

There is a Double futon in the upstairs Family Room that is suitable for 2 adults or children.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
