About the home

“Shoalhaven Retreat” is a delightful single-storey family home in Cowes. The Cowes supermarkets, restaurants & cafés are a mere 5 minute drive. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Near the rear of the home, there is an open plan kitchen (with large pantry) dining / living room (with Tv & chromecast) leading on to the rear fully enclosed alfresco. The master bedroom at the front of the home contains a walk-through robe and en-suite (with shower & toilet) and there is a central living/lounge room - with smart Tv. Bedroom 2 has a build in robe, and bedroom 3 has a built in robe & Tv, there is a small 4th bedroom, a large bathroom (with bath, shower & vanity) and a separate toilet. There is also a fully appointed laundry (with washing machine) and a dryer in the double garage which has internal access into the home.

Outdoor Areas

The fully enclosed alfresco (with table & seating for 8) overlooks the enclosed rear yard which is perfect for kids. There is ample parking with a double garage & driveway providing plenty of room for up to 3 cars. Inside the garage you will find the clothes dryer and internal access to the home.

Please note there are security cameras at the front of the property. They do not view any private areas in the home.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, an Espresso Capino pod coffee machine (Saeco coffee machine) toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and gas cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are three split-system reverse cycle air-conditioning units; one in each living room (which adequately warm the entire home) and one in the alfresco, there are ceiling fans in bedrooms 1, 2 and 3, as well as the alfresco, and one mobile fan to be used where required. There are also electric blankets for the 3 x Queen beds.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 4 beds and a double fold- put divan, accommodating up to 9 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One Queen bed
Bedroom 4: One Single bed

The double fold-out divan is in the front living area suitable for two adults or children.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
