We understand that if a lockdown means you are not permitted to come and stay, it is different than cancelling or changing a booking for other reasons. If a lockdown means you (as the person booking) are not permitted to come and stay, we will provide you with the choice of either cancelling and getting a full refund or changing your dates. Please ask us if you have any questions about this offer as some exclusions may apply based on notice, group composition restrictions, etc.

About the home

"Shmatty” is a lovely townhouse in a brilliant location in central Cowes, across the road from the beach and easily walkable to the many supermarkets, cafes and restaurants Cowes has to offer. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Upstairs comprises an open plan kitchen / dining / living area (with TV and DVD player), a bathroom (with shower), a separate toilet and the master bedroom with its own balcony.

Downstairs contains another living area, three bedrooms, another bathroom (with shower over a ½ bath and toilet), a European laundry and internal access to the garage.

Outdoor Areas

The home has both a balcony from the first floor (with outdoor setting for 6) as well as an enclosed rear courtyard (with BBQ). There is a single lock-up garage and room for another vehicle in front of the garage, plus access to some visitor parking. Also at your disposal are the wonderful communal facilities including a solar-heated in-ground pool and shady BBQ area for those delightful summer afternoons.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home contains reverse-cycle, split system units in the upstairs living area and downstairs living area. There’s also a ceiling fan in the upstairs living area.

Bedroom Configuration

"Shmatty" is configured to sleep up to 10 people:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Set of Tri-bunks
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Set of Tri-bunks

Linen

A standard booking comes with doonas with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bath mats. Guests can bring their own sheets (flat and fitted), pillow cases and towels or opt to pay extra for this 'optional linen'. The cost to provide optional linen is a once off fee per stay of $30 per king/queen/double bed and $15 per single bed. Please advise us if you would like this additional service.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
