About the home

“Retreat at Red Rocks” is a large, delightful, single-storey, family home in the Red Rocks area of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The huge central Living/Dining Room (with 75" smart TV, Netflix, Xbox One & 2 Sonos speakers) provides plenty of space to spread out and relax, and opens directly into the newly renovated Kitchen. All rooms open into this central space; Bedroom 1 (with 55" smart TV & Netflix) and Bedroom 2 share access to a central WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedroom 3 (with 55" smart TV & Netflix), Bedroom 4 and 5 (each with BIR), a Laundry (with washing machine & direct access to the rear yard), the main Bathroom (with bath & shower) and a separate toilet.

Outdoor Areas

The wrap-around verandah extends across the front of the home and all the way down the side. The long driveway provides secure space for parking up to 4 vehicles (cars and/or boat). The Single Garage has been set up as an outdoor entertaining area/Games Room. The back yard also features a firepit (no wood provided) and a trampoline.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, a Nespresso compatible pod coffee machine (with milk frother), toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home contains 4 reverse-cycle split system units; 1 in the Living/Dining area that heats the whole living space, plus one in each of bedrooms 1, 4 and 5, a portable fan in bedroom 2, mobile heaters in bedrooms 2 & 3, and a ceiling fan in bedroom 3.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 8 beds, and 2 sofa beds, accommodating up to 14 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One set of Single bunks and one Single trundle bed
Bedroom 3: One Queen bed
Bedroom 4: One Tri-bunk
Bedroom 5: One Queen bed

There are also two Double sofa beds in the Living Room, suitable for 1 adult or child each.

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
