About the home

“Ocean Front at Cowes” is a delightful split level family home (plus 2nd floor Lighthouse Room) in Cowes right on the water front and just a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

To either side of the front door are two Bathrooms, one with a shower over bath & separate Toilet, and the other with a shower & separate Toilet. Down a few steps from the front door is the large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 60" smart TV) with delightful water views. Upstairs from the entry are all three Bedrooms (each with BIR), that step out to the ocean-facing Balcony with uninterrupted water views. A unique 2nd storey Lighthouse Room is accessible via stairs from Bedroom 1 and features a couch and Balcony with spectacular water views.

Outdoor Areas

The first floor partially covered Balcony (outdoor seating for 6 people plus some sun lounges) provides incredible water views. Outside the Kitchen there is a gas BBQ, and outside the Living Room there is a separate fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), plus a hot/cold outdoor shower to wash off after a trip to the beach. There is space for 3 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the carport and driveway. Please note the Garage is not for guest use.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the Living room, plus three additional stand-alone heaters which can be used where required.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 4 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): Two Double beds

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
