About the home

Relax & Unwind at “Island Tranquility” This family friendly holiday home in Cowes, is only a short 5min drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafe’s of Cowes. The Cowes north facing beach is within a comfortable walk & the Anderson St Boat Ramp is a 2-3 min drive, perfect for those with a boat/JetSki. GP Track, Penguin Parade, are all within an easy 10min drive. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Bedroom 1 is at the front of the home and has a WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet). Down the hall is the front Living Room (with TV) that provides access to Bedroom 4 (with BIR). The central hallway continues past Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR), the main bathroom (with bath & shower), a separate toilet and a laundry (with washing machine). At the rear of the home is the large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with a large smart TV) that provides access to the enclosed rear yard.

Outdoor Areas

The fully enclosed rear yard has a gas bbq, firepit (firewood not included) a large outdoor dining seating which comfortably seats 8-10. There is also a 3m Market Umbrella if needing extra shade during the warm summer months. For families with young children, there is a fantastic park with playground, directly opposite the home. The garage is not accessible to guests, however there is space for 2 cars to park in the driveway, plus plenty off-street parking also available.

Please note there are security cameras outside, but none that view any private areas in the home or the backyard.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, airfryer, rice cooker, sandwich maker, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioner in the rear Living/Kitchen/Dining room, ceiling fans in Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3, plus three additional stand-alone heaters and one stand-alone fan which can be used where required.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 4 beds plus 1 fold-up bed, accommodating up to 9 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed and one fold-up King Single bed
Bedroom 2: One Double bed
Bedroom 3: One Double bed
Bedroom 4: One Double bed

The fold up King Single bed is stored in the WIR in Bedroom 1.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
