About the home

“Hakea Bush Cabin” is a delightful, rustic home and is a must for people wishing to enjoy a truly quiet retreat and is well suited to families, couples, and small groups. With the Cowes boat ramp just 4 minutes away, it is an ideal accommodation for boating & fishing enthusiasts. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

This single-storey home comprises an open plan kitchen / dining / living area (with TV and coonara fireplace), leading out to the covered large deck. Three bedrooms, a bathroom (with shower) leading to the laundry, and a separate toilet complete the home.

Outdoor Areas

There is a large sheltered outdoor living area with BBQ and outdoor setting overlooking the delightful native garden. Kids will have a wonderful time climbing up to the treehouse platform and going down by slide; there’s even a swing too. As an added bonus, there are chooks in the backyard - which means fresh eggs if they’re laying – plus a herb and veggie garden at your disposal! There is also ample parking for cars and a boat, and an outdoor shower (hot & cold) to wash off the sand after a fun day at the beach.

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, a Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus sink, fridge, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The main living area contains a reverse-cycle split system unit and a ceiling fan. There’s a coonara fireplace which is even supplied with a generous basket of wood for your stay (additional wood can be purchased locally at guest’s own expense). There is a stand-alone fan and portable heater for use where required, and an electric blanket in the main bedroom.

Bedding Configuration

"Hakea Bush Cabin" is configured to comfortably sleep any combination of adults and children up to a maximum of 7:
