About the home

“Genesta Getaway” is a delightful single-storey family home in Cowes just comfortable walk from the beach and a few metres from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

A central hallway runs down the middle of the home, providing access to the front Living Room (with Pool Table & 80" smart TV accessing Stan, Paramount, Disney+, Prime, Binge, Netflix, YouTube Premium, plus a DVD player and bluetooth Soundbar), Bedroom 1 with WIR and an ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedroom 2 (with BIR), Bedroom 5, the main bathroom (with bath & shower) and the open plan Kitchen/Dining Room. A couple of steps up from the Dining Room is the rear Living Room and through to Bedroom 3 and 4 (each with BIR) and the fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) and a separate toilet.

Outdoor Areas

The fully enclosed rear yard is perfect for children. The side driveway features a carport behind a roller door allowing secure parking for up to 2 cars, plus space for another car in front of the roller door. There is a gas BBQ and an outdoor table with seating for 8+, plus an additional 4 chairs.

Please note there are security cameras outside the home. They do not view any private areas in the home.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine with milk frother, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are 4 wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners in the home; one in each in bedroom 1, 2 and 5 and one in the rear Living Room.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 7 beds plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 12 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One Tri-bunk
Bedroom 4: One Queen bed
Bedroom 5: One Tri-bunk

There is a Double sofa bed in the front Living Room suitable for 2 adults or children.

Please note: A Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
