“Cowes Family Haven” is a large, delightful, double-storey, family home in central Cowes just metres from all of the cafe's, restaurants and supermarkets that Cowes has to offer. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs features a spacious Lounge Room (with comfortable seating, a TV and Coonara-style wood fire) flowing through to the Games Room (with more seating, TV & Foosball table) and adjoining Kitchenette (with dishwasher, oven, stove & kettle). Also on this floor are Bedroom 1 with an ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with bath & shower), a Laundry (with clothes dryer) plus a separate toilet. There are two sets of stairs leading up to the first floor - one on each end of the home (from the Games & Lounge respectively).

Upstairs is an enormous open plan Kitchen/Living/Dining Room (with smart TV, DVD player & movie library) with delightful water views and providing access to the first floor Deck. On this level are Bedrooms 4, 5, 6 and 7 each with BIR, another Bathroom (with bath & shower), a washing machine and a separate toilet. A separate corner section of this floor is not available to guests (as per the floorplan).

Outdoor Areas

The incredible huge fully covered first floor Deck (with 10 seater table & outdoor lounge setting) provides fantastic water views. The large enclosed block is ideal for families - there is a large undercover area in front of the home with 1/4 pipe skate ramp and concrete area perfect for kids scooters and games. The Garage is not available to guests, but there is parking for 1 car in the carport, andother 1-2 cars in the covered area and space on the grass for up to another 3-4 cars and/or a boat.


The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, an ALDI Expressi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top. The downstairs kitchenette (in the Games Room) has another dishwasher, fridge, kettle, gas oven & stove (primarily the upstairs kitchen is intended for guest use).

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home contains two reverse-cycle split system units; one in the downstairs Games Room and one in the upstairs Living Room, plus there is a coonara-style wood heater in the downstairs Lounge.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 11 beds, accommodating up to 16 guests:

Bedroom 1 (downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (downstairs): One set of Single Bunks and one Single bed
Bedroom 3 (downstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 4 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 5 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 6 (upstairs): One Double bed
Bedroom 7 (upstairs): One set of Single Bunks and one Single bed


It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
