About the home
"Chetilana" is a delightful family friendly home with tranquil, light-filled interiors, just a short walk to the restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and beach in Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is a gorgeous open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living room (with smart TV, coonara fireplace & sound bar) as well as a Laundry (with washing machine) and separate Toilet. The Living room has views out to the rear entertaining deck through glass french doors. There is internal access through to the Games room (a converted single garage) which features a pool table.
Upstairs is Bedroom 1, which features BIR and an ensuite (with bath, shower, double vanity & separate toilet), Bedrooms 2, 3, 4 and 5, plus the Study/second Living area.
Outdoor Areas
The huge covered rear entertainers Deck (with seating for 6 & a gas BBQ) overlooks the fully enclosed back yard which is perfect for children. There is internal access through to the Games room (a converted single garage) which features a pool table. There is parking for 2 cars in the Double carport, plus additional street parking.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, an Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home has a wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioning unit in the downstairs living room as well as a coonara style fireplace (no firewood supplied). Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 3 have ceiling fans and all other bedrooms have portable fans. There are also portable heaters for all the bedrooms.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 8 beds, plus 1 sofa bed and 2 fold out beds, accommodating up to 16 guests:
Bedroom 1 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (upstairs): One Tri-bunk
Bedroom 3 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (upstairs): One Tri-bunk
Bedroom 5 (upstairs): One Tri-bunk
The upstairs living room also has a fold out double divan/sofa that is suitable for one adult or two children. In addition, the home also has two single fold out beds that can be used where required.
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
