About the home

“Chale Retreat” is a delightful single-storey family home at the end of a quiet court in Silverleaves, just a comfortable walk from the beach and Silverleaves General Store, and a short drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The central open plan Kitchen/Dining Room provides access to the rear deck and flows through to the Family Room (with smart TV, surround sound & Wii gaming station) which also leads out to the rear deck. The 2nd Living Room (with TV, bluetooth speaker, DVD player & 50+ movies) provides another space to relax and spread out. The Master bedroom (with TV) is accessed off the Family Room and has a walk through robe and ensuite (with shower & toilet). A central hallway leads from the Dining Room to Bedrooms 2, 3 & 4 (each with BIR), the main bathroom (with bath & shower), a separate toilet and a laundry (with washing machine).

Outdoor Areas

The covered rear deck (with table tennis table, extendable dining table seating up to 10 people, gas BBQ & hot/cold water outdoor shower) overlooks the stunning private solar heated swimming pool (10m x 3.5 and 1.2m - 1.9m deep) and delightful outlook over the Silverleaves nature reserve. The enclosed rear yard is perfect for children. The garage is not for guest use, but there is space for up to 5 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the long driveway and enclosed front yard.

Please note there are security cameras at the home facing external areas only.

Kitchen

The fully appointed entertainers kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave (in the pantry), Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge (with cold filtered water and ice maker), dishwasher, two electric ovens and a 900mm gas cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are 6 wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners in the home; one in each bedroom plus one in the Dining room and another in the Family Room, ceiling fans in Bedroom 1 and the Dining Room, plus wall mounted electric heating in both bathrooms. Please note the gas heater in the Living Room is not in use.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 6 beds accommodating up to 8 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: Two King Single beds
Bedroom 4: One King Single bed and one Single bed

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
